Dr. Kao spent five weeks of study in a National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Summer Institute on “Human Rights in Conflict” in New York City in the Summer of 2006.
With principal investigator John Wallach, the seminar was held daily at the New School and all participants lived in Chelsea.
