At the 2021 annual meeting of the American Academy of Religion in San Antonio, Texas, Grace Kao was a panelist for a session entitled “Women’s Theologies of the Multitude for Multitudes: A Conversation Across Racial/Ethnic Communities” co-sponsored by the Women & Religion Unit and the Asian North American Religion, Culture, and Society Unit.
At the beginning of the session, respondent Kwok Pui Lan found out the true reason for it – a festschrift in her honor co-edited by Rita Nakashima Brock and Tat-siong Benny Liew.
Grace Kao spoke of her chapter in that festschrift where she approached surrogacy from the perspective of Asian American Christian Ethics.
The book in which her chapter appears, Theologies of the Multitude for the Multitude, is open-access and can be read in its entirety here.
